The Indonesian Tourism Competition (KPI) is one of the prestigious tourism competitions that has been held since 2011 by the D-3 Study Program in Tourism, Bandung State Polytechnic. Initially, this competition was only followed by national participants in Indonesia, but in 2022, KPI expanded its reach to international participants with the aim of increasing the competence of students to compete in the global tourism industry.

KPI consists of three types of competitions, namely:

1. Tourism Competition: This type of competition focuses on tourism-related competitions, such as Guiding, Tourism Quiz Competition, and others.

2. General Competition: This type of competition can be followed by students from outside the tourism department, such as Photography, E-Poster, and others.

3. Hospitality Competition: This type of competition focuses on competitions in the hospitality industry, such as Making Bed, Plating Dessert, and others.

KPI not only serves as a means to measure students' abilities in competitive activities but also conveys positive messages from each concept it promotes, such as:

- Increasing awareness of the importance of tourism in the national economy

- Developing creativity and innovation in the tourism industry

- Enhancing students' ability to compete at national and international levels

KPI can become a means to develop students' potential and improve the quality of the tourism industry in Indonesia.
