GENERAL COMPETITION

Photography

Photographyis a medium for conveying messages through images that have communication value in the appearance of the subject so that the image message can be expressed to the viewer, resulting in contact understanding of meaning. This photography competition is a show of talent in taking and editing images with the theme, namely Nature Sustainability. Participants are devoted to displaying natural elements such as landscapes, endangered animals, rare plants, close-ups of natural scenery, and biodiversity conservation.

General requirements

1. Participants are students from all majors at D1 to S1 level who are still active and must attach a Student Identity Card (KTM)/Student Certificate (SKM);

2. Participants are prohibited from including, wearing and displaying institutional identity such as logos, flags, uniforms, alma mater jackets, institutional initials in any form during the competition;

3. Each team is required to register/sign up on the link provided on the official KPI website (kpi.polban.ac.id), no later than:

• Batch 2(March 28 - April 30, 2024)

4. Participants must join the WhatsApp group;

5. Participants are required to attend the opening and closing offline which takes place at the main venue of the Bandung State Polytechnic. If participants are unable to attend they can participate online via KPI 14 YouTube streaming;

6. The jury's decision is final and cannot be contested.

Special Provisions

1. The competition is an individual competition;

2. The photos submitted are the participant's original work which has never been published before in any media, has never been included in a similar competition and has never been used for any communication media.

3. It is not permitted to include/attach the identity of the institution in the contested photos;

4. Shooting media is permitted using various types of DSLR/Mirror cameras or using cellphone cameras;

5. Photos are the most recent photos taken within a maximum of 2 years;

6. The photos in the competition are color photos (not monochrome);

7. Editing is permitted to the extent of improving the quality of the photo (sharpening, cropping, color balance, color saturation, contrast and brightness) without adding or reducing the authenticity of the photo;

8. Photo works do not contain elements of insults, ethnicity, religion, race and intergroup (SARA) and pornography;

9. Every work submitted must include the KPI 14 logo in the upper right corner;

10. Non-compliance with regulations will result in a reduction in value;

11. The committee and jury are not responsible for anything regarding the work submitted if there is a prosecution for ownership/copyright of part/all of the work submitted and other things that cause losses with or without value to participants or other parties;

12. The committee has the right to disqualify any participant who is deemed to have cheated;

13. The work submitted becomes KPI's copyright for competition purposes only, and remains the participant's copyright;

14. The jury's decision is final and cannot be contested;

15. Participants are deemed to accept and agree to the terms of the competition.

Competition Technical

1. The competition is held online;

2. The results of the competition are spot photos uploaded via the social media platform Instagram;

3. Instagram should not be private;

4. The description of the Instagram upload must include the hashtag: #IndonesianTourismCompetition14

5. Participants upload photos on Instagram;

6. The participants made statements consisting of:

• Participant name

• The story or background behind the work

• Type of camera used

• Place of shooting

• Date and time the picture was taken

7. The collected photos are uploaded to Google Classroom in the format Participant Name_Photo Title (example: Adji Refhiandwi Putra_Magic Nature);

8. Participants collect photo works according to the given theme;

9. The deadline for submitting files is adjusted to the competition category, namely April 30 2024

10. Participants collect files according to the time given via Google Classroom with a maximum size of 5Mb;

11. Participants will be considered FAILED if they are late in submitting work links according to the specified time limit;

Violation

1. Participants who take and plagiarize/imitate other people's work that has been created will be disqualified;

2. Registered participants may not be replaced for any reason;

3. Participants who are late in submitting their work will be declared disqualified;

4. Provoking comments on other participants' Instagram posts are prohibited;
